Job Description:

Are you driven, results-oriented, and a team player?

With 20,000+ retailers and restaurants in over 15 countries, StoreHub is on a mission to enable everyone, big or small, to build successful businesses. At StoreHub, we're building a dream team whereby all of your colleagues are extraordinary at what they do and are highly effective collaborators. It is in such a team that you learn the most, perform your best work, improve the fastest, and have the most fun.

If this is a journey you'd like to embark on, keep reading!

We're looking for a Social Media & Content Specialist to champion our content strategy across multiple platforms. You'll primarily focus on our B2B brand, StoreHub, with occasional support for our B2C and e-commerce brands, Beep and Deals Club.

In this role, you'll craft content that's engaging, localised, and optimised for impact — from social media posts and short-form videos to blog features and campaigns. We want someone who's creative, strategic, and uses tools like Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs,HeyGen, and CapCut AI as a multiplier to move faster without sacrificing quality.
The pace is fast, the work is dynamic, and experimentation is part of the process. If you're adaptable, resourceful, and love pushing creative boundaries while working smarter, you'll fit right in.

What you will do:

  • Own StoreHub's social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Xiao Hong Shu, and Spotify) — from content planning and publishing to community engagement.
  • Plan, produce, and execute high-quality, localised content across multiple formats — social media posts, short-form videos, blogs, and ads — tailored for each platform and audience.
  • Plan and execute content shoots with merchants and in-house — handling everything from creative direction on the day to editing and publishing after.
  • Apply strong copywriting across captions, ad copy, blogs, and short-form video scripts — with a sharp understanding of what resonates with Malaysian business owners across different communities.
  • Use AI tools (like Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, and CapCut AI) to research, ideate, batch-produce, and repurpose content efficiently — turning one asset into many without losing quality or brand voice.
  • Work closely with the Social Media and Content Lead to build and refine repeatable content workflows that make production faster, more consistent, and easier to scale — whether that's through prompt engineering, batching content, or building automated AI workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Marketing and Acquisition to create content for go-to-market campaigns and paid strategies.
  • Analyse performance data to test new formats, refine strategies, and double down on what drives engagement and merchant conversion.

Must Have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or a related field.
  • A hands-on maker — you're comfortable picking up a phone, directing a shoot, and jumping straight into CapCut. An execution-heavy portfolio of short-form video work is a must.
  • Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia, with a sharp eye for cultural nuance and local context — you know how to make content feel authentic whether it's for a kopitiam owner in Seremban or a retailer in Bangsar.
  • Strong grasp of content distribution and optimisation — able to turn one idea or shoot into multiple platform-ready assets across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and beyond.
  • Comfortable using AI tools like Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, and CapCut AI for content creation and distribution — and have a systems-oriented mindset. Whether you've experimented with Claude Code, n8n, or similar tools, or are hungry to, you're always looking for ways to work smarter and scale faster.
  • Ability to gather, analyse, and act on data — using insights to test, iterate, and refine content strategies for growth.
  • Active social media listening skills — always tracking trends, algorithm shifts, and new opportunities.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills — able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines without dropping the ball.

Bonus Points:

  • Proficiency in Mandarin or other local languages.
  • Experience with advanced design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign.
  • Experience in B2B marketing or working with tech or SaaS brands.

  • Cutting-edge tools: If something can be automated, we'll make it happen. You will be introduced to many different tools we use that support everyday tasks, so that we can focus our minds on the kind of work that matters.
  • Impact not just effort: We recognise that results are not tied to the number of hours worked. There's no reward for long hours with poor results and no penalty for leaving on time if your work is excellent. To be great, most of us have to put in considerable effort, but we don't measure contribution by hard work or long hours.
